# XIOS error in the case of determination of new output variable

Dear All!

I can’t output a new my field (dicec, an increment for ice concentration) in XIOS. The error message is:

_In file “nc4\_data\_output.cpp”, function “void xios::CNc4DataOutput::writeFieldData\_(xios::CField \*)”, line 2687 → On writing field data: dicec In the context : nemo\_server Error when calling function ncPutVaraType(ncid, varId, start, count, data) NetCDF: Numeric conversion not representable Unable to write data given the location id: 1703936 and the variable whose id: 19 and name: dicec_

The field itself is calculated correctly.

The icewri.F90 module now has an operator: _if (iom\_use(‘dicec’)) call iom\_put(‘dicec’, dicec \* zmsk00)_

Into the field\_def\_nemo-ice.xml file I put the string:

In the file file\_def\_nemo-ice.xm, along with other fields there is:

The definition of the new field is in the ice.F90 module as _PUBLIC, ALLOCATABLE, SAVE DIMENSION(:,🙂_ and is allocated as _ALLOCATE(dicec(jpi,jpj))_
